October 15th, 6.30pm: Energy Policy in Department for Energy Security and Net Zero @ ODS, St John’s
Cambridge University Energy Technology Society is hosting Laila Freeman, a Senior Policy Advisor from the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero for a presentation and Q&A. This is an open talk and does not require technical knowledge. In the first part of the event, the role of DESNZ in the wider energy-industry will be discussed, along with what it's like to work on policy as a civil servant, and how policy is made to sustainably reach net-zero in the UK. In the second part, the role of hydrogen in the net-zero transition and various challenges involved will also be discussed.
