📅 Upcoming Events
College Green Society Workshop #1 - Tomorrow 4pm @ The Latimer Room, Clare College
What? Join us for our first workshop of the year! We’ll be offering knowledge shares on various aspects of college environmental policy (think catering, banking, divestment, net zero plans…) plus organising cross-college collaborations for the term. It’s also a chance to meet other likeminded students, and to learn from each others experiences.
Who? Whether you’re a Green Officer, a student involved with a college environmental soc, want advice on starting one, OR advice any other campaign within your college.
📅 Wednesday 15th October
⏰ 4 - 5.30pm
📍 Latimer Room, Clare College Old Court (CB2 1TL)
Please drop in whenever you can once lectures / practicals are over for you.
I’ll be around in the room from 3.30pm onwards if you have any individual questions OR if you just want to chat about how the uni and college governance systems work regarding sustainability.

Cambridge Climate Ideathon Launch event - Saturday 25th October 2pm @ Bowett Room, Queens’ College
The Cambridge Climate Ideathon brings together Cambridge students that are passionate about protecting the planet for a three-week creative challenge to imagine new ways to work towards the following Earthshot goals:
Fix Our Climate
Clean Our Air
Protect and Restore Nature
No business experience? No problem. This is about creativity, collaboration, and learning how ideas can develop into meaningful change.
Choose the challenge you want to address and find like-minded people for your team at our launch event. We’ll then have weekly (recorded) webinars where you’ll learn practical skills for designing user experiences, framing your ideas within a business context and delivering a confident, compelling pitch. Finally, join us on 14th November to present your team’s developed idea to our panel of supportive judges and the wider community.
Launch Event: 2-4pm on 25th October, Bowett Room, Queens’ College
Webinars: Online
Pitching Event: 5-8pm on 14th November, Fitzpatrick Hall Theatre, Queens’ College

🤝 CCS Mentorship Programme
Remember that our popular climate Mentorship Programme is now open for applications 🎉
This is your chance to:
🤝 Build a genuine relationship with a professional in your area of interest.
🧠 Unlock tailored knowledge sharing and strategic learning.
🚀 Gain personalized guidance on climate careers and advocacy work.
The best part? It’s intentionally flexible. We know student life is busy, so the scope, focus, and timeline are kept informal and open, allowing your exchange to be fully tailored to your goals.
Don’t miss this chance to build a relationship that will define your career path.
Apply now! Deadline: Wednesday, October 22nd. We will contact successful mentees by email if there is a match.
That’s all for now! Enjoy the coming week 🎉
